Our biggest event of the fall is back!

Join OUT Maine in a three-day youth leadership retreat filled with opportunities for personal growth, social and emotional learning, and real world connections with meaningful work. For youth ages 14-18, we’ll be running workshops all weekend ranging in topics like advocacy, media literacy, self-care strategies and more! 2026’s event will take place:

September 18th-20th

OMGLOL 2026 will wrap up with student-led projects centered around relevant social issues that will be chosen and persued through the workshops. Staff and subject matter experts will be available to guide youth through developing a tangible piece.

Registration is now OPEN for OMGLOL 2026. Register your teen before September 11th to reserve their spot!
This retreat is likely to reach capacity quickly!

Attendance to OUT Maine Goes Live on the Lake 2026 costs $85 per youth. We do offer scholarships to folks who request financial assistance, no questions asked. You’ll be prompted in the registration form to either pay the attendance fee or request a scholarship.

What do we mean by "social and emotional learning"?

OUT Maine teaches social and emotional learning competencies (self awareness, self management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision making) through various content mediums and areas of interest, many of which can be applied to both children and adults. In the same way that playing on a sports team can teach relationship skills like collaboration, our staff has used yoga to teach self management, art to teach social awareness, and more.
