Schools with GSTAs for 3+ years have a 50% reduction in bullying and harassment for ALL students.*
We help build and support GSTAs to provide students with safe spaces and improve school climates. We also provide resources, activities, and other tools that will enhance social and emotional learning. Click the button below to request help setting up a GSTA club in your school!

The GSTA Network
This is a private way for any LGBTQ+ school-based student group to connect with OUT Maine; whether you call it a GSA, Rainbow Club, Spectrum Club, or any other name, you are welcome to join us!
Advisors/facilitators of GSTA clubs who connect with us will be able to receive on-demand technical assistance to come up with programming ideas, troubleshoot, find advocacy opportunities, and more support.
Plus, get our monthly GSTA and school newsletter sent right to your inbox! These contain relevant events or programs as well as announcements, such as professional development opportunities for staff, or youth centered programming.
We also host monthly virtual meetings for GSTA advisors and other school staff to connect and discuss issues in their schools, get support from each other and OUT staff, and share ideas (occasionally featuring guest speakers!).
Several times a year, OUT Maine puts on regional GSTA meetup events in-person for youth throughout the state. Is your school interested on co-hosting a meetup? Contact us to start the planning process!
