DESCRIPTION:Visit Rock City Cafe during it’s regular restaurant hours to see the show! https://rockcitycoffee.com/ \nOUT Maine has partnered with the Center for Maine Contemporary Art (CMCA)\, Rock City Cafe in Rockland\, and  and MCHT’s Erickson Fields Preserve in Rockport to bring LGBTQIA2S+ and allied youth and young adults’ art and writing to Midcoast Maine during Pride Month (June). \nThis year’s theme is Queer in Maine. Artists are asked to consider how place and identity push and pull one another in their pieces. \nArt will be on display at Rock City Cafe\, while poetry and short prose will be displayed at the Pride Walk.

SUMMARY:Building Welcoming and Affirming Communities for LGBTQ+ Youth (Portland)
DESCRIPTION:This training will take place in Portland on June 17th. Exact location will be shared the week of the event. \nDo you want to hang up a rainbow flag\, but are unsure if your space and the people in it are currently equipped to support LGBTQIA2S+ youth? Are your business’s policies up to date? Is your community space considered “inclusive”? This training will provide participants with an overview of terminology\, rights\, and laws regarding the support and protection of queer and trans youth. We’ll focus on how to create a welcoming and supportive workplace and/or public community setting\, and how to back up that “safe space” sticker and rainbow flag with real\, tangible actions. \nCEU certificates and CME/CEU credits will be available by request.
