DESCRIPTION:Join us virtually on June 30th! Do you want to hang up a rainbow flag\, but are unsure if your space and the people in it are currently equipped to support LGBTQIA2S+ youth? Are your business’s policies up to date? Is your community space considered “inclusive”? This training will provide participants with an overview of terminology\, rights\, and laws regarding the support and protection of queer and trans youth. We’ll focus on how to create a welcoming and supportive workplace and/or public community setting\, and how to back up that “safe space” sticker and rainbow flag with real\, tangible actions. \nCEU certificates and CME/CEU credits will be available by request. SUMMARY:Youth Mental Health Support Group
DESCRIPTION:For youth ages 13-18 who identify as LGBTQIA2S+ and reside anywhere in Maine\, we are offering a Youth Mental Health Support Group! This is a FREE weekly online therapy group focused on building resilience within community. The program is HIPAA compliant and facilitated by a licensed mental health clinician (LCPC). We will meet on Tuesdays from 4:00-5:00pm. \nNo insurance\, billing\, or co-pays necessary. \nThis is not a drop-in program; attendance is required weekly for all accepted youth. Please fill out our interest form to be considered for treatment. The form should be completed with the information of the youth seeking treatment\, and not their parent/caregiver’s.
